Identification Symptoms
- The virus is transmitted mostly
through infected planting materials, though mealy bugs (Planococcus citri)
and more probably Saccharicoccus sacchari are also believed to transmit
it. Shoot tip culture does not eliminate it from vegetatively propagated
materials.
