Chemical management

  • Apply quinalphos dust in the soil @ 20 kg/ha to kill the ants.
  • Spray methyl demeton 25 EC or monocrotophos 36 WSC at the rate of 2 ml/lit of water
  • Spray dichlorvos 76 WSC at the rate of 1 ml/lit with fish oil rosin soap at 25 g/lit.
  • Removal of loose bark and pasting mixture of carbaryl 6 g + Copper oxychloride 10 g + neem oil 1ml+ gum 1ml on the stem and branches.
  • Dipping grape bunches in a solution of DDVP 1.5ml + soap 2.5g +water 1 litre for 30 seconds is also suggested.
