Identification Symptoms

  • Drying of terminal shoot in early stage
  • Grub tunnels in the sapwood on the trunk or branches
  • Presence of irregular tunnels.
  • Frass comes out from several points and sometimes sap oozes out of the holes
  • Grubs feeding on the vascular tissues, interruption of nutrient and water transport to the growing tissues
  • Wilting of branches or entire tree
