Cultural management
- Destroy the weed host Tinospora cardifolia and Coccules
     pendules
- Collection and destruction of rotten and dropped fruits.
- Adults are highly phototropic.
-  Place a fluorescent
     light trap /ha one month before fruit maturation between 7.00 PM to 6.00
     AM below which poison baits with sugar solution 1% + fruit pulp +
     Malathion 1 ml should be placed.
- Apply smoke to prevent adult moth
- Bagging of fruits with polythene or paper covers,
     though effective but expensive and not practicable on large scale.
- Trap crop – growing tomato crop in orchards to
     attract the adult moth
