Rice straw could be used as mulch for other crops like wheat, maize,
sugarcane, sunflower, soybean, potato, chili etc. In one side, it would improve
crop yield in dry land and water stress condition by conserving soil moisture
and on the other hand, could save irrigation water of about 7 to 40 cm.
