                ·         Apply irrigation water to the field only after the disappearance of ponded water.Hence, the field is alternately flooded and non-flooded.

·         Decision for re- irrigation scheduling is based on

             (a) Visual methods:-

              (i) Fine hair cracks on soil:-  Irrigate after appearance of fine hair cracks on soil surface

              (ii) Leaf rolling:- Irrigate when the leaf starts rolling

              (b) Water level in Field water tube/Pani pipe :-

                    When water level drops below 15 cm from soil surface, the field should be re-irrigated
